Short answer: pick MiniMax H3 when you want the highest resolution for the fewest credits, or a 21:9 frame. Its 2K tier costs less per second than Wan 3.0 at 720P. Pick Wan 3.0 when you need a long, detailed prompt, a 5-second clip, or a 1080P file. Through the Kie API it also turns a document or a web page into a video. On AgentReel a 10-second clip at the top resolution costs 33 credits on MiniMax H3 (2K) and 80 credits on Wan 3.0 (1080P).

This Wan 3.0 vs MiniMax H3 comparison covers two models that share one prompt box in AgentReel and run through the Kie.ai API. The parameters come from the Kie API documentation, and the prices come from the table AgentReel charges today. We do not quote a benchmark score, because no neutral benchmark tests both models with the same prompts.

What the Kie API supports and what AgentReel offers

On AgentReel, both models take a text prompt and 0 to 2 images: a first frame, or a first and a last frame. Wan 3.0 runs at 480P, 720P or 1080P for 5, 10 or 15 seconds. MiniMax H3 runs at 768P or 2K for 6, 10 or 15 seconds. Sound is always on for both.

The Kie API adds more: the reference modes, Wan 3.0 file and link input, Wan 3.0 clips up to 30 seconds, and the Wan 3.0 audio switch and seed. AgentReel does not offer these today.

What Wan 3.0 does best

Long prompts and a wider duration range

The Wan 3.0 prompt holds 20,000 characters, in Chinese or English.

In the API, duration runs from 2 to 30 seconds, or -1 to let the model pick. With reference videos, input plus output must stay at 30 seconds or less.

Documents and web pages as input

Wan 3.0 has two inputs that MiniMax H3 lacks. File-to-video takes one document, such as a PDF, Word file or slide deck, up to 100 MB and 50 pages. Link-to-video takes one public web page that needs no login. The Kie example turns a product slide deck into an ad.

Reference mode and control

The reference mode takes up to 10 images, 5 videos and 5 audio clips. You call them in the prompt as Image1, Video1 and Audio1. A seed lets you reproduce a result.

Where it costs more

Wan 3.0 bills per second, and the rate doubles at each resolution step. On AgentReel it costs 2 credits a second at 480P, 4 at 720P and 8 at 1080P. A 15-second 1080P clip costs 120 credits. Draft at 480P, then render the keeper at 1080P. A Wan 3.0 Prime variant is also on AgentReel, from 16 to 189 credits a clip.

High resolution for fewer credits

On AgentReel, MiniMax H3 at 768P costs 2 credits a second, the same rate as Wan 3.0 at 480P. The 2K tier costs about 3.3 credits a second. A 10-second 2K clip costs 33 credits. A 10-second Wan 3.0 clip costs 40 credits at 720P and 80 at 1080P.

Wide frames and flexible frame input

MiniMax H3 offers 21:9, which Wan 3.0 does not. The image-to-video endpoint takes a first frame, a last frame or both. You can give it only the end frame and let the model build the motion that leads to it.

Sound in every clip

Every MiniMax H3 clip has a stereo audio track. You describe dialogue, music and sound effects in the prompt. The audio cannot be turned off.

Reference mode

The reference-to-video endpoint takes up to 9 images, 3 videos (15 seconds in total) and 3 audio clips. Audio cannot be the only reference.

Price per clip on AgentReel

Wan 3.0 offers 5, 10 and 15 seconds. MiniMax H3 offers 6, 10 and 15 seconds. Compare them at 10 and 15 seconds, or per second.
