1K, 2K and 4K output

Choose 1K, 2K, 4K. 1K and 2K cost the same, so 2K is a free upgrade for most pictures; 4K costs a little more and suits prints, banners and frames you plan to crop.

Edit with up to eight references

Upload up to 8 images and say what to keep and what to change. Swap a background, put a product in a new scene, or merge a person, an outfit and a place into one picture.

Eleven frames, plus auto

Pick from auto, 1:1, 2:3, 3:2, 3:4, 4:3, 4:5, 5:4, 9:16, 16:9, 21:9. Auto follows your reference image; the fixed frames cover profile pictures, portrait posts, stories, slides and 21:9 banners.

Long, detailed prompts

A prompt can run to 20,000 characters, enough for exact layout notes, brand colours and text you want rendered in the picture.

How to create an image with the Pro model

1

Open the image generator

The button on this page opens the AI image generator with the Pro model selected; it is also the default there.

2

Write a prompt, add references

Describe the picture, or upload up to 8 images and describe the edit.

3

Pick size and generate

Choose a frame and 1K, 2K, 4K. The Generate button shows the price before anything is charged.

What people make with it

Product shots and mockups

Place a product photo into a styled scene, change its colour, or build a clean catalogue image; finish with the free white background tool if a marketplace needs one.

Consistent characters

Use the same face and outfit as references across several prompts to keep a character recognisable in a series.

Start frames for video

Make the first and last frame of a shot here, then animate them with a video model such as Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash.

Posters, thumbnails and banners

Render 16:9 thumbnails, 9:16 stories or 21:9 headers with the text written into the image.

Pro model guide: prompts, edits and cost

Where it sits in the Nano Banana family

AgentReel offers four Nano Banana models from Google. Nano Banana Pro, with the Pro badge, is the flagship and the default. Nano Banana 2.1, marked New, and Nano Banana 2 cost less per picture, take up to ten references and add extreme strips such as 1:4 and 8:1. The original Nano Banana is the cheapest, with a single size.

Reach for the Pro model when the picture is the final deliverable: a hero image, an ad or a detailed edit that must look right the first time. Use 2.1 for drafts and volume, then rerun the best prompt on Pro.

Prompts that get the picture right

Describe the subject, the setting, the composition and the light, in that order: "a ceramic coffee mug on a walnut desk, top-down, morning light from the left, soft shadows, muted green palette". Then add the medium if it matters, such as photo, watercolour or 3D render.

For text inside the image, put the exact words in quotes and say where they go: "the headline 'Autumn Sale' in bold white letters at the top". Short phrases render more reliably than long sentences.

Editing with reference images

When you upload references, name what each one supplies: the person from the first image, the jacket from the second, the street from the third. Say what must not change, for example the face, the pose or the logo, and describe only the change you want.

Small edits work best one at a time. If a picture needs a new background and new lighting, do the background first, keep the best result, and use it as the reference for the lighting change. To clean up a source photo beforehand, try the free background remover.

Choosing a resolution

Because 1K and 2K have the same price, 2K is the sensible default. Pick 4K for print, large banners or pictures you will crop, where the extra pixels pay off. If you only need a quick look at a layout, 1K renders the same composition.

For an existing image that is too small, the free image upscaler can enlarge it without generating a new picture.

What an image costs

Each image costs 5 to 6 credits depending on the resolution. The table on this page lists every option and the Generate button shows the exact price; a failed task is refunded automatically.

Images are paid from a plan or credit pack. The free credits of a new account cover Z-Image, video templates and Code to Video; Nano Banana Pro needs purchased credits. The credits and pricing guide explains how plans and packs work.
