Short answer: Pick Veo 3.1 if you want three price tiers, 4K output and the cheapest single render. Pick Kling 3.0 Omni if you need to set the clip length (5, 10 or 15 seconds), post in a square 1:1 frame, or switch audio off. On AgentReel, a Veo 3.1 Fast render at 1080p costs 17 credits. A 5-second Kling 3.0 Omni clip at 1080p with audio costs 29 credits (prices as of 2026-10-29).
We read Kie's API reference for both models on docs.kie.ai, plus Kie's Kling O3 model page. Then we compared those docs with the settings and credit prices AgentReel shows for each model on 2026-10-29. AgentReel connects to both models through Kie's API, but it does not expose every API parameter. So each section below separates what the API supports from what you can set in AgentReel. We did not run benchmarks, and this post has no quality scores.

Three tiers in one model
Kie's API offers Veo 3.1 in three versions. Quality is the flagship tier. Fast is the cost-efficient tier. Lite is built for high-volume work at the lowest cost. AgentReel exposes all three as a variant setting. That gives you a wide price range inside one model, from 8 credits for Lite at 720p to 93 credits for Quality at 4K. You can draft with Lite and switch to Quality for the final cut without changing models.
4K in wide and vertical frames
The Kie docs say Veo 3.1 makes native 16:9 and 9:16 video, and both formats support 1080p and 4K output. AgentReel offers 720p, 1080p and 4K in both of those ratios. The API also has an Auto aspect ratio mode. AgentReel does not offer Auto or a square frame for Veo 3.1. Kie notes that every Veo 3.1 video ships with background audio by default. AgentReel has no audio switch for this model.
Image inputs and extension
The Kie API has three generation modes: text only, first and last frames (one or two images), and material-to-video from reference images. The material mode works with Fast and Lite only. AgentReel accepts zero to two reference images for Veo 3.1. Kie also has a separate extend endpoint. It makes a 720p continuation clip that starts from the last frame of a Veo 3.1 video. Extension is not one of the Veo 3.1 settings on AgentReel. Neither is the API's watermark parameter.

Clip length you choose
Kie's model page says Kling 3.0 Omni text-to-video runs from 3 to 15 seconds per generation. AgentReel gives you three fixed lengths: 5, 10 and 15 seconds. Price scales with length. At 1080p with audio, 5 seconds costs 29 credits, 10 seconds costs 58 and 15 seconds costs 87. If you need a known runtime for a TikTok, Reel or Short, this is the model with a duration setting.
Audio on or off, and a square frame
Kie's page tells developers to set audio on each request, and audio is priced on its own. AgentReel shows this as an On or Off switch. Turning audio off cuts the price, for example from 29 to 23 credits for a 5-second 1080p clip. That helps when you plan to add your own voice-over or music. Kling 3.0 Omni is also the only one of these two models with a 1:1 option on AgentReel, next to 16:9 and 9:16.
Multi-shot and references in the API
The Kie API goes further than the AgentReel settings. Kie lists four Omni endpoints: text-to-video, image-to-video, reference-to-video and transformation. Custom multi-shot accepts up to 6 shots, each 1 to 12 seconds, with 15 seconds in total. A smart storyboard switch lets the model plan the shots itself, but you cannot turn on both. Reference-to-video takes up to 7 images, or 4 when you add a reference video. Transformation restyles one source video. Text-to-video can output up to 4K. On AgentReel you get 720p or 1080p, zero to two reference images and a 3,072-character prompt, which matches the prompt limit on Kie's page.

That covers 58 Veo 3.1 Fast renders at 1080p, or 34 Kling 3.0 Omni clips of 5 seconds at 1080p with audio. Starter includes 200 credits for $15.99 a month, and one-time packs start at 100 credits for $11.99.
Which one should you choose?
- Lowest cost per render: Veo 3.1 Lite at 720p, 8 credits.
- 4K output: Veo 3.1. Lite costs 38 credits, Fast 45 and Quality 93.
- Top Veo tier for a final cut: Veo 3.1 Quality, 63 to 93 credits.
- Square posts: Kling 3.0 Omni, the only one with 1:1 on AgentReel.
- A set clip length up to 15 seconds: Kling 3.0 Omni, with 5, 10 or 15 seconds.
- Silent clips for your own voice-over: Kling 3.0 Omni with audio off. Veo 3.1 adds background audio by default in the Kie API, and AgentReel has no switch for it.
- Long, detailed prompts: Veo 3.1, with a 5,000-character limit against 3,072.

How we compared
We checked every source on 2026-10-29. For Veo 3.1 we read Kie's Generate Veo3.1 Video reference (model id veo-3-1) and the Extend Veo3.1 Video reference. For Kling 3.0 Omni we read Kie's Kling O3 model page. It documents the kling-3.0-omni/text-to-video endpoint and its rules for multi-shot, duration, audio and references. We also read the Kling 3.0 Omni Transformation reference and the Kling 3.0 reference. The Kling 3.0 reference's index lists the Omni text, image, reference and transformation endpoints. AgentReel settings and credit prices come from the AI video generator and the pricing page. Example images come from Kie's Veo 3.1 page and Kie's Kling O3 page. We ran no benchmarks.
