Competitor Comparison

Short answer: Pick AgentReel if you want one prompt box in front of 20 video models and 20 image models, plus tools that turn clips into finished ads, carousels and lyric videos. Pick Pika if you want its own Pika 2.5 model with Pikaframes keyframes, or music, voice and sound effect apps next to your video. On monthly billing, AgentReel Starter costs $15.99 for 200 AgentReel credits, and Pika Starter costs $10 for 900 Pika credits. The two credit units are not the same, so compare the cost of the job you plan to run.

We built this comparison on October 30, 2026 from public pages only. For Pika, we read its home page, pricing page, help center, launch post and model app pages. For AgentReel, we used its current model list, tool list and price list. We did not run benchmark tests or score output quality. We left out any claim we could not trace to a page.

AgentReel

AgentReel is a browser-based AI studio for short-form visual content. One prompt box sits in front of many models, plus tools that build finished posts.

Twenty video models behind one prompt box

The AI video generator runs text-to-video and image-to-video with every video model on the site. The list has 20 models. It includes Veo 3.1, Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0, Kling 3.0, Kling 3.0 Omni, Gemini Omni Video, Wan 3.0, Runway, MiniMax H3, Hailuo 2.3, PixVerse V6, Vidu Q4 and Grok Imagine Video 1.5. Every tool shows its credit price before a job starts. A failed job refunds its credits automatically.

Image models for your first frame

Image-to-video starts with a good still. The AI image generator handles text-to-image and image editing with 20 image models. These include Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst, Seedream 5.0 Pro, Flux 2 Pro, Flux Kontext, Ideogram V3 and Imagen 4. You can make a frame, edit it, and then animate it in the same studio.

Tools that turn clips into posts

AgentReel also builds whole formats, not just single clips. The video ad generator makes ads with a script, voice-over, clips and captions. Other tools build TikTok photo carousels, cut B-roll to a voice-over, and make lyric videos from a song. There are ready-made video templates too. When no template fits, code-to-video has Claude write a custom video as code.

Pika

Pika relaunched on September 17, 2026. Its launch post says the new Pika brings video, image and sound creation into one place. Its apps use Pika's own models and models from other providers. During the move, the old interface stays at old.pika.art for a few more weeks.

Pika 2.5 and Pikaframes

Pika 2.5 is Pika's flagship video model, tuned for 1080p motion. It makes five-second clips from a prompt, and five or ten seconds from a photo. In Frames mode, you attach two to five stills. Each pair becomes a transition of one to five seconds, or ten with exactly two frames. One limit: Pika 2.5 renders come back silent. Pika suggests adding sound later with Pika Soundtrack.

Longer clips with sound through partner models

For longer clips with audio, Pika hosts partner models. Seedance 2.5 on Pika makes up to 30 seconds in one pass with sound, at up to 1080p, from up to 50 references. It does not render 4K. MiniMax H3 on Pika makes 4 to 15 second clips from up to 15 references. It produces dialogue, music and sound effects in stereo, at 720p or 2K. The launch post also claims Seedance generations on Pika cost half the price of other creation platforms. That is Pika's own claim, made as of launch day.

Audio and character apps

Pika lists Music Studio, Speech Studio and SFX Studio beside its video apps. Pika Soundtrack creates music, ambience and sound effects to match a clip you upload. Character Studio builds a character sheet with different angles and expressions, so most models can keep a character consistent. Pika also says every user gets every model and app, with the best tools not held back for higher plans.

AgentReel vs Pika pricing

AgentReel prices are in AgentReel credits, as listed on October 30, 2026. Check AgentReel pricing for the current list. Pika prices come from Pika's pricing page and use monthly billing.

The credit counts do not convert one to one. On Pika, a 720p, five-second Seedance 2.5 clip costs 122 credits. Pika says that is about 7 clips a month on Starter. On AgentReel, every tool shows its credit price before a job starts, so you can check a model's cost before you spend. Pika's Starter card lists no watermark and a commercial license, but no priority queue. Pika's top-up credits work only in Pika Create and MCP, not in its API, iOS app or old.pika.art.

FAQ

Is Pika mainly a video tool or an image tool?

Pika calls itself an AI creative platform for video, images and audio. Its apps page leads with video models like Seedance 2.5 and Pika 2.5, and it also offers Image Studio and Product Shot.

Do AgentReel and Pika offer the same models?

Some of them. Both list Seedance 2.5 and MiniMax H3 for video, and GPT Image 2.5, Nano Banana 2.1 and Seedream for images (Pika help center). AgentReel adds models such as Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0, Wan 3.0 and Runway, while Pika has its own Pika 2.5.

How long can a clip be on Pika?

It depends on the model. Pika 2.5 makes five seconds from a prompt, or five or ten from a photo. Seedance 2.5 goes up to 30 seconds, and MiniMax H3 runs 4 to 15 seconds.

Can I use AgentReel without paying?

Models other than Z-Image need a credit purchase. You can buy a one-time pack, starting at 100 credits for $11.99, or pick a plan. Current prices are on the pricing page.

Are AgentReel credits and Pika credits worth the same?

No. They are separate units, and each site prices jobs in its own credits. Compare the cost of the clip you need: AgentReel shows it before a job starts, and Pika lists sample costs on its pricing page.

Does a Pika subscription cover the Pika API?

No. Pika's help center says the API is separate and does not use your Pika credits. Pika credits do work with the Pika MCP.
