AgentReel for Mac and Windows
AgentReel for Mac and Windows is the AI B-Roll Editor as a desktop app. It works with the footage that is already on your computer, so you do not have to upload every file first. It is made for creators with large libraries: hundreds of clips, long recordings or big 4K files.
Is it free? The app is free to download. Rendering on your computer costs no credits. The other AI steps cost the same as on the web, and the editor shows the price before each step.
What you can make
- The same finished videos as the web editor: your clips plus a script, with voiceover, captions and music.
- Long videos from hundreds of large files without waiting for uploads.
- 16:9 YouTube videos and 9:16 Shorts, Reels or TikTok videos from one footage folder.
How it works
- Download the app. Use the download links in the site header or footer. Pick Mac or Windows.
- Install it. On Windows, the first start may show a SmartScreen warning. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
- Sign in with your AgentReel account. Sign in through the device login page at /device. You use the same account and the same credit balance as on the web.
- Point the app at your footage. Choose the clips on your computer. The app works with them where they are.
- Make the video. Paste your script, pick a voice, music and caption style, and check the timeline phrase by phrase. The steps are the same as in the web editor.
- Render on your computer. The final video renders on your own machine.

On the web, typical costs are about 1 credit per 8 clips for reading clips, about 7 to 34 credits per 30 seconds of script for picking shots, and 22 credits per 1000 characters for an AI voice. The editor shows the exact price before each step and asks you to confirm. A failed step is refunded automatically. See Credits, plans and free usage.
Tips for better results
- Use the app for big projects. If your footage is many gigabytes, the desktop app saves you the upload wait.
- Write short sentences. Clear phrases help AI pick a shot for each one.
- Check the timeline before you render. It is the easiest place to catch a shot you do not like.
FAQ
Do I need a separate account for the desktop app?
No. Sign in with your AgentReel account through /device. Your credits are the same as on the web.
Does the app upload all my footage?
No. It works with the footage on your computer without uploading every file.
Why is rendering free in the app?
The final video renders on your own computer, so there is no render cost. Other AI steps cost the same as on the web.
Windows says the app is not recognized. Is it safe?
Windows may show a SmartScreen warning the first time you start the app. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
Does it work on an Intel Mac?
The Mac app is built for Apple silicon. On an Intel Mac, use the web editor.
