Pick the exact clip length
Kling 3.0 on AgentReel offers 3s, 5s, 8s, 10s, 15s. Short lengths suit a quick hook or a cut-in; the longer ones give a camera move or an action room to finish. The price is per second, so a short draft costs a fraction of a long final render, and the price table on this page lists every length.
720p or 1080p
Kling comes in two modes, shown in the generator as 720p, 1080p. The 720p mode is the default and the cheaper one for drafts and social clips; 1080p costs more per second and is the choice for a final render or a larger screen. Both modes take the same prompt, images and durations.
Sound when you want it
Kling 3.0 can generate a soundtrack with the picture, and AgentReel gives you a switch for it. Leave sound on for ambience, effects and music that match the motion; turn it off when you will add your own voice-over or music later, which also lowers the price per second.
Start from a photo
Upload up to 2 reference images and Kling animates from your picture instead of starting from words alone. With an image the aspect ratio follows the picture, so a vertical photo gives a vertical clip. Without an image, choose 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 and Kling runs as text-to-video.
How to make a Kling 3.0 video
Open the generator with the model selected
Click the button on this page and the AI video generator opens with Kling selected.
Write a prompt or add a photo
Describe the scene in up to 2,500 characters, or upload a photo to animate and describe the motion you want.
Set length, mode and sound
Pick a duration, 720p or 1080p and sound on or off. The Generate button shows the exact price; the finished clip lands in your library.
What it is good for
Animating product photos
Give Kling a product shot and ask for a slow orbit, a reveal or a hand picking the item up. For a full ad with script and voice, use the AI video ad generator.
Short hooks and cut-ins
The shortest lengths are cheap enough to make several takes of a hook and keep the best one. Assemble them with your own footage in the B-roll editor.
Square and vertical social clips
It renders 1:1 as well as 16:9 and 9:16, so a feed post, a Reel and a YouTube clip can come from the same prompt.
Bringing portraits to life
Animate a portrait or a character design with a subtle movement, a turn of the head or a gesture. For a presenter that speaks a script, try the AI avatar video tool.
Kling 3.0 guide: prompts, settings and cost
Writing a prompt that works
Write the prompt as one shot: who or what is in frame, what happens, how the camera moves and what the mood is. "A red sports car drifts around a wet mountain bend at dusk, low tracking shot, spray from the tyres, headlights glowing" tells the model the subject, the action, the camera and the light. Kling follows concrete verbs and camera terms better than abstract adjectives, so prefer "slow dolly in" to "cinematic".
You have up to 2,500 characters. When you animate a photo, spend the words on motion rather than on describing the picture again: the image already shows the subject, so tell Kling what should move, how fast and in which direction.
Choosing a duration
Kling 3.0 is priced per second, so duration is the setting that moves the price most. Use the shortest length that fits the action. A head turn, a pour or a reveal fits in a few seconds; a walk across a room or a long camera move needs more. A longer clip also gives the model more time to drift away from the prompt, so a short clip is often the sharper one.
For a video longer than one clip, generate several shots and join them in the AI video editor, or let the video agent plan the shots and generate them for you.
When to switch sound off
Generated sound is useful for ambience and effects: rain, traffic, a door closing, footsteps. It saves a trip to a sound library and makes a clip feel finished. If the clip will carry a voice-over, a song or a brand jingle, switch sound off: you pay less per second and do not have to mute the track later.
The price table on this page shows both cases side by side, so you can see what sound adds for each length and mode before you decide.
Image-to-video tips
Start from a sharp, well lit image with the subject clearly separated from the background. Because the ratio follows the picture, crop it to the frame you want before uploading; the image cropper does this for free in your browser. If the photo is small, run it through the image upscaler first.
With a second image, Kling has a target for the end of the shot as well. Keep both pictures in the same ratio and describe the motion that connects them, and the result stays much closer to what you planned.
Keeping a character consistent across clips
Every clip is generated on its own, so a character described only in words can change from one shot to the next. The reliable fix is to give each shot the same reference image: create the character once in the AI image generator, then start every clip from that picture and change only the action in the prompt.
Keep the wording that describes the character identical between prompts, and change one thing at a time when a take does not work. Small, deliberate edits make it much easier to see which word caused a change than rewriting the whole prompt.
What a clip costs
On AgentReel a Kling clip costs 11 to 102 credits. The price is the per-second rate of the mode, with or without sound, times the duration. The table on this page lists every combination and the Generate button shows the exact figure before you spend anything; a failed clip is refunded automatically.
Credits come from a plan or credit pack. Free credits cover Z-Image, video templates and Code to Video only, so generating with Kling needs paid credits. The credits and pricing guide explains how plans and packs work.
How it compares with other models
Kling 3.0 stands out for its flexible length options and its sound switch. Veo 3.1 always generates sound, goes up to 4K and is priced per clip; Seedance 2.5 and MiniMax H3 add wider aspect ratios such as 21:9; Wan 3.0 costs less than either Seedance model at every resolution. The comparison table above lists every model in the generator with its credit range.
All of them live in the same AI video generator, so you can run one prompt on Kling and on another model and keep the better clip. The model overview has a page for each of them.
