Sound comes with the picture

Every clip arrives with a soundtrack generated together with the motion: ambience, effects and voices. Kie.ai describes the audio as two-channel stereo with improved lip sync. There is no sound switch, so plan for audio in every take and mute it in an editor if you need silence.

Text or keyframes

Leave the image slot empty and the model runs text-to-video in 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 21:9. Add one picture and it becomes the first frame; add a second and the clip ends on it. With frames, the ratio follows the first picture, so crop it to the frame you want before uploading.

Motion that holds together

Kuaishou built this version for fast action, tracking shots, orbit moves and complex camera paths, according to Kie.ai's model page. In practice that means fewer warped limbs in a run or a spin, and camera moves that keep the subject in place.

Clear, per-second pricing

The price is the per-second rate of the resolution times the length you pick from 5s, 10s, 15s. The table on this page lists every combination, and the Generate button shows the exact figure before any credits move.

How to make a Kling 4.0 video

1

Open the generator with the model selected

Click the button on this page and the AI video generator opens with this model already picked.

2

Write the shot, or add frames

Describe the scene in up to 7,900 characters. To control where the clip starts and ends, upload a first and a last frame; up to 2 images are accepted.

3

Pick resolution and length, then generate

Choose 720p, 1080p and a duration. The button shows the price; the finished clip, with sound, lands in My Works.

What it is good for

Ads with sound in one pass

A product reveal with a matching whoosh, a pour with the sound of liquid, a street scene with traffic noise. For a full ad with script and voice-over, use the AI video ad generator.

Planned transitions

Give a closed box as the first frame and the open box as the last, or a sketch and the finished room. The model fills in the motion between two pictures you control.

Cinematic wide shots

Text-to-video renders 21:9 as well as 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1, so a trailer strip, a YouTube clip and a vertical teaser can come from the same prompt.

Characters that speak

Kie.ai lists support for several languages, accents and dialects, plus better lip sync. Short lines of dialogue in the prompt can come back spoken by the character on screen.

Kling 4.0 guide: settings, prompts and cost

What is new in this version

Kling is the video model family of Kuaishou, the Chinese short-video company. Version 4 reached the Kie.ai API, the provider AgentReel uses, at the start of November 2026. Kie.ai's model page highlights native stereo audio with better lip sync, more stable fast motion and camera moves, clearer text and logos in the frame, and support for several languages and accents.

The upstream model can do more than AgentReel exposes today. Kie.ai lists clips of 3 to 30 seconds, up to 10 keyframes and an Omni Reference mode with up to 15 images, videos, voices and subjects. On AgentReel you get text-to-video and first-and-last-frame video at 5s, 10s, 15s; reference mode and video input may follow later. Kuaishou lists 4K and 10-bit HDR as coming soon, so neither is offered yet.

Writing a prompt

Write one shot: the subject, the action, the camera and the light. "A cyclist sprints through a neon tunnel at night, low tracking shot, wet asphalt reflecting pink light, the hum of the bike and distant traffic" gives the model a subject, a motion, a camera move and a soundscape. Because audio is always generated, a few words about sound pay off.

When you use frames, do not describe the pictures again. Describe what changes between them. Kie's API refers to the pictures as @first_frame and @last_frame; AgentReel adds those names to your prompt automatically when you leave them out, so you can write plain sentences.

720p or 1080p, and which length

The 720p tier is the default and the better choice for drafts and social clips. Move to 1080p for a final render, a large screen or a shot you will crop. Both take the same prompt and frames.

Length is the setting that moves the price most. A reveal or a gesture fits in the shortest option; a walk through a room or a long camera move needs more. Start short, check the motion, then render the long version.

What a clip costs

On AgentReel a clip costs 36 to 160 credits. The price follows the per-second rate of the resolution times the duration, and the table on this page lists every combination. A failed clip is refunded automatically.

Credits come from a plan or credit pack. Free check-in credits do not pay for AI video. The credits and pricing guide explains plans and packs.

How it compares

Choose Kling 3.0 when you want a sound switch, more length options or a lower price per second; it remains a strong model for silent clips. Pick the new version when sound matters, when the shot has fast action, or when you want a planned first and last frame with audio.

Veo 3.1 is priced per 8-second clip and reaches 4K; Seedance 2.5 has wider ratios and long prompts; Vidu Q4 builds a scene from up to 15 reference images. The model overview has a page for each one, and all of them run in the same generator.

Kling 4.0 FAQ

What is Kling 4.0?
It is the fourth generation of the Kling video model by Kuaishou. It makes short clips with native sound from a text prompt or from a first and last frame. AgentReel runs it in the browser without a separate Kling account.
How much does it cost?
A clip costs 36 to 160 credits on AgentReel, depending on the resolution (720p, 1080p) and the duration (5s, 10s, 15s). The price table on this page lists every combination.
Can I turn the sound off?
No. The model always generates audio with the picture. If you need a silent clip, mute it in an editor or choose a model with a sound switch, such as Kling 3.0.
Can it animate my photo?
Yes. Upload a picture and it becomes the first frame. Upload a second picture to set the last frame. The output follows the first picture's aspect ratio.
Which aspect ratios are supported?
Without frames you can choose 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 21:9. With frames the clip follows the first image.
Does it support 4K or 30-second clips?
Not on AgentReel yet. Kie.ai lists 4K as coming soon. The API allows up to 30 seconds; AgentReel offers 5s, 10s, 15s for now.
Is it free?
No. AI video uses credits from a plan or credit pack. Free check-in credits pay for Z-Image, video templates and Code to Video.
Where do my videos go?
Finished clips appear in My Works, where you can download, share or delete them. A failed clip is refunded automatically.
